AANHCP Booting Specialist
Certification Program
-
Independent Study

  • Student is required to fit 10 horses on the front feet using Swiss Horse Boots (may be done with or without the guidance of an AANHCP FI).
  • Student takes and records all hoof measurements for booting and documents boot sizes selected, along with all modifications applied to the boots to make them fit properly.
  • Student submits copies of booting records to booting clinician for evaluation.
  • Student documents problems and issues, obtains guidance from booting clinician as necessary and works through the process of fitting boots in the field.
  • May have to boot these horses for free as part of their Training & Cert Program and even if they trash a few boots - it's good learning!
