AANHCP Training and Certification Programs

Assistant Director of Operations Ann Corso (CP-KY) briefs new students in the Natural Hoof Care Practitioner Program about new Natural Trim Workshops at the Spring/07 AANHCP "Cluster Clinics" in Warrenton, Missouri.  Some 70 students trimmed hooves together in the largest group trimming clinic in the history of the AANHCP.

he AANHCP was founded on the belief that genuine natural horse care based on the wild horse model deserves a systematic approach to training and certifiable evidence of competence. The AANHCP Training and Certification Programs are a culmination of combined efforts and continuing dedication to this belief.

The AANHCP Training and Certification Programs
are the only comprehensive natural horse care training programs of their kind in the world. Students are systematically instructed in intense, hands-on, stepwise programs designed to build technical skills and theoretical knowledge.¹ The clinicians, instructors and examiners of the Association are highly skilled and experienced practitioners who will "mentor" each candidate to provide close individual guidance and certify the successful graduate's competence.

All certified graduates will enjoy the full recognition and support of AANHCP officers, instructors, and fellow students.

¹The AANHCP Certification Programs were created for persons seeking to make careers for themselves as professionals. The Association discourages individuals who seek certification solely or primarily for the purposes of practicing on their own horses. Previous hoof care experience, however, is not required or necessary.
